The Christmas star is one of the central points of the story of the Nativity, the Magi and the shepherds following their bright light to find the baby Jesus. Many children play the role of stars in school performances, and is also a cheerful and easy costume to do for adults.

Draw a pentagram in carton. Make it 1 foot (30 cm) high for children, and 2 feet (60 centimeters) for adults. Cut with scissors and star covered with glue on one side. Glitter sprinkled across the surface and allowed to dry. Star Turn Away, place glue, covered with glitter and let dry.

Cut two pieces of silver cord, 16 inches (40 centimeters) for children and 2 feet (60 centimeters) for adults. Take a piece of string, pass it through the top left of a star hole and secure with a knot. Tie the other end of the cord in the upper right of the other star hole. Tie the other piece of string in the other two holes, so that the stars remain bound together as a sandwich sign. It should be room for your head to pass through the two pieces of string.
